Charles Lee, CPA
Charles Lee is the lead CPA of Charles K. Lee & Company, CPA, Inc. He received his undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) with an emphasis in accounting (class of 1992).
Prior to starting his own practice, Charles was a senior manager at two of the Big Four international accounting firms Deloitte & Touche LLP (2000 through 2002, Los Angeles) and KPMG LLP (1996 through 2000, Los Angeles) intheir tax services group. Charles started his career with Ernst & Young LLP (1992 through 1996) in the tax services group in the Los Angeles Office. After 10 years with the Big Four accounting firms, Charles established his own tax practice in 2002.
Charles' 30 years of tax experience also includes tax credits, tax incentives, capital gains tax deferral planning (Sections 453 & 1031), Federal consolidated income tax returns, acquisitions and mergers, tax free reorganizations, high net worth tax planning, international income taxation (outbound and inbound), and multistate & California income taxation. Charles has extensive experience in state apportionment, water's edge election and unitary & combined income tax returns.
Charles is a licensed certified public accountant in California and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA). He also serves as a board member of the local chapter of CalCPA, Asian Pacific CPA Association (APCPAA), Asian Business Association (ABA), and two other local nonprofit organizations.
